South Korean scientists exposed during Tuesday regarding their carrying forward with the first DNA analysis of the tiger and four other pertaining to the cat family. It was a project inclined towards helping critically-endangered cats with their survival.

A team headed by Jong Bhak of the Personal Genomics Institute in Suwon freed from complication the genome of the Amur tiger. At the same time examined to note similarities and differences against those of a white Bengal tiger, the African lion, a white African lion and the snow leopard. The comparison furnished a string of genes highlighting shared characteristics among these close yet distinguishable species.

Interestingly, it was also into exposure that they include common genes pointing to extreme muscle strength accompanied by an ability to metabolise a hypercarnivorous diet.
