A 22-year-old man has been charged by the Police in Virginia for killing a 17-year-old teenage girl who has been reported missing after the girl and her friends left to a mosque early on Sunday. Fairfax County police have charged Darwin Martinez Torres with the murder after the missing Muslim girl found dead by them in a pond on Sunday afternoon.
Police have tweeted through their official account that they had taken the man into custody and also charged him with murder.

Tawny Wright, a spokeswoman for the police said that the girl had been walking with her friends when she got into an argument with a man in a car on early Sunday. The man has assaulted the girl and thus she became separated from her group of friends. The girl's name was not released immediately .
Police said that, after the great search for the suspect they have arrested Torres.
The girl had been participating at a sleepover at the religious institution which authorities did not identify. But the All Dulles Area Muslim Society has confirmed it in a news release that the girl and also her friends were affiliated with the mosque.
"We are devastated and heartbroken as our community undergoes and processes this traumatic event. It is a time for us to come together to pray and care for our youth," the society said in the news release. It also said that the society has been enlisting licensed counselors in order to assist the needy one.
Police said that they have looked into whether the murder was a hate crime but said that they found no evidence as like hate crime.
