With the sudden rampant rise in the number of positive cases in India since two days, India is on higher risks of community spread, which is likely going to prove fatal for the country.

The country has been on complete lockdown for over a week now which is going to be stretching on till April 15.

In lieu on recent events, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to hold a video conference with the chief ministers to take stock of the situation in the respective states in India.

The meeting has been scheduled to happen at 11 am today and is the second conference since the rise of the global pandemic and the first since the lockdown was imposed on the country.

Following the announcement of the Janata Curfew that was imposed on March 22, the country did witness a surge in the number of confirmed cases along with the constant misdemenor of some of the people around. This lack of restrictions made the PM impose the 21 days lockdown to ensure better safety for the country.

The sudden spike in the new cases across the country was witnessed after the Tablighi Jamaat assembly that took place in Nizamuddin, Delhi.
