Court stunned by defendant who stripped to his waist to show tattoos all over body...

On Tuesday, people in court were stunned when a person held in custody stripped to his waist to expose how he ended up with more than 12 tattoos on his body during 39 months in waiting.

Moreover, the 33-year-old Emirati prisoner, M.B. when  removed the upper part of his prison dress and displayed his tattoos before the Dubai Court of First Instance said, does he want to know what a person held in custody learns or benefits from inside Dubai Central Jail? There he go.

The audience while taking short intake of breadth in surprise when M.B. removed the two white T-shirts and that he was wearing and turned around to display more than 12 tattoos on his shoulders, biceps, chest, arms, stomach, neck and back.

The prisoner did this shortly after he was proved to be false of the charges of deliberately starting a fire in police kept delayed, exposing danger threat to the lives of other prisoners while also causing Dh1,650 worth of damages to public property and attempting suicide.

Fact-fully, M.B. was known to have contested a six-month imprisonment term issued against him in absentia and that during Tuesday's hearing, presiding judge Mohammad Jamal uniformed the charges against the 33-year-old, who appealed not guilty.

Tattooed prisoner in high and nervous voice...

Shortly after the present prosecutor asked the presiding judge to adopt the charges listed in the charge sheet against M.B., the latter shouted: "What? What did you say?"

The judge immediately came between disputing people and asked M.B. to stretch himself fully and just address the court.

M.B. when produced what he claimed to be a medical report said no and that he did not attempt suicide or start a fire and he is sick and have a hospital report.

Shockingly, while requesting permission to speak, the Emirati said in high and nervous voice to the Sir Judge, that he have been in kept waiting for three years and three months and that the prison is supposed to be a rehabilitation and correction facility while asking him whether he knows what have he learnt or benefited from being in prison which he claims to be as - There you go... this is all what he benefited from.

With three court policemen surrounding him, M.B. took off his T-shirts and showed his tattoos while he was also spotted turning around to ensure that the audience could see his tattoos. As a result, the judge ordered the policemen to send M.B. back to the court's detention centre.

According to the presiding judge Jamal a judgement will be heard on March 31.

Irrespective of  his efforts to stay in the court dock, five to six policemen carried the defender back to detention. Mysteriously, M.B. did not mention what he was intimating at or justify why the reason of creating such scene.

As a matter of fact, M.B. in an earlier hearing was known to have created a similar scene during which he told a judge that he was a suffering from severe mental disorder and  that he is sick in his head… not the bum.

To conclude here, Prosecutors have charged M.B. with starting a fire in a reserve room of Al Ghusais police station's detention centre while he was also charged with offering life threatening to the lives of prisoners and policemen more over was also accused of attempting suicide by setting his clothes on fire and damaging the detention area which all were known to have occurred in the year 2010.
