Forget the mesh bodysuits and the cone bras! Style icon Madonna's golden grills are the real rage now.

The Queen of Pop has apparently got herself a new pair of grills in gold, and couldn't stop grinning after that.

The 55-year-old fashion chameleon, who is currently touring Rome, flashed her glimmers while stepping out of her home yesterday. However, from the pictures taken, it's quite clear that these grills don't fit her well and looks downright frightening, if nothing else.

The music legend  isn't the first celeb to have golden grids, although she is certainly the latest.

In the past, rapper Kanye West covered his lower teeth in diamonds, while fellow trendsetting females Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and even Beyonce have been pictured with gold embellishments on their teeth. No word on whether Madonna's dental accessory du jour is permanent.
