Four Virginia Airports to Receive Funds for Improvement Projects

Four West Virginia airfields will be receiving about $14 million in federal funding for improvement projects.

The funding for airports was declared by United States Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin from U.S. Department of Transportation.

Airports receiving funds

Charleston's Yeager Airport owned by Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority will be receiving $5 million for the sake of runway safety area project.

The funding for else airfields include Raleigh County Memorial Airport owned by Raleigh County Airport Authority with $3.9 million, the Greenbrier Valley Airport, which has one runway and owned by Greenbrier County Authority will receive $3.7 million and Mercer County Regional Airport owned by Mercer County and the cities Hazen, Golden Valley, Pick City, Stanton and Zap will receive $1.4 million.
