Saina Nehwal has disclosed that she felt to quit the game last year this time when she was facing toughest phases of her career and was terribly lost as she was unsure if her career was progressing. Same time, offer came to her from Vimal.

The 25-year-old who became the first ever Indian shuttler to win a silver in the World Championships said that major difference in her game after joining Vimal was that she was fast and fit. Saina said that Vimal has been working on several areas including few tips and changes, which aid in creating wonders.

Saina said, “I was losing to lesser-ranked players and somehow not feeling confident. Luckily, Vimal sir’s offer came. It was not a planned thing, but just happened at the right time.” The shuttler recalled that, “Vimal sir and even Prakash sir always told me one thing - you are always a champion. Doesn’t matter whether you win or lose. You just go out there and give off your best.”

According to Saina Nehwal, the world championship could be the defining moment as she prepares for the 2016 Olympics. Olympic medal would stand out as special it was Saina’s childhood dream.
