Virginia based NRI allegedly dumped his pregnant wife along with their 8-month old baby boy at the RGI airport in Shamshabad.
According to the reports on Tuesday when the world was celebrating ‘Valentine’s day’ Sirisha’s husband abandoned her at the airport.
At around 2:30 a.m. Sirisha along with her husband Y Keerthi Sai Reddy and their son landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from Virginia via Dubai.
As soon as they arrived, Reddy met his mother Vanitha and fled from there without informing Sirisha.
Sirisha said in a press release that her husband stated that he would return in few minutes and left her and their son at the airport. Instead of returning, he along with his mother went to their house at Ramanthapur. Reddy also took her mobile and did not give any cash to her.
Left with no option, Sirisha approached a police outpost for help. Assistant Sub-Inspector Dhan Singh helped her talk to her parents in Vanasthalipuram.
Y Keerthi Sai Reddy is a mechanical engineer; he married Sirisha, a B.Tech graduate in 2015.
Two months after their marriage, the Reddy along with his mother started harassing Sirisha. They also suspected her fidelity, after she gave birth to their son Sahit.
“My husband got my child DNA typed. I have a six-month-old daughter. They would not allow me to breastfeed the child. My husband said that he wanted me to go back to India as it was not possible to live in the US due to financial reasons. He just dumped me at the airport.” Sirisha said.
Last month, Sirisha informed the matter to her parents, who then lodged a complaint with Vanasthalipuram police against Sai Reddy and Vanitha.
